The role of the Piston head
The piston head is a part that is attached to the piston. It is kept airtight in the cylinder by installing an O-ring.
When the piston moves forward, it is a part of flying BB bullets by compressing and discharging the air in the cylinder.
What is a rear intake type piston head?
When the piston head is viewed from the front, there are 6 or 8 holes along with the outer shell. Such a piston head is called a rear intake type.
Because of this hole, the O-ring bulges outward when the piston moves forward, making the cylinder tighter.
Conversely, when the piston is retracted, air can be sucked not only from the nozzle tip but also from the rear of the cylinder.
Since the genuine Tokyo Marui normal piston does not have this hole, intake is only from the nozzle tip. For this reason, when a bullet is clogged, the nozzle tip is blocked and intake is not possible. This phenomenon causes trouble.
