J-ARMAMENT 16:1 HIGH SPEED REINFORCED GEAR SET
It is a reinforced gear set for conventional AEG made by J-ARMAMENT which has a reputation for accuracy.
It is not available to use Tokyo Marui next-generation AEG.
The gear ratio of 16:1 makes the cycle at full auto faster slightly and the torque is smaller than that of the standard gear of 18:1.
Adaptive model
It applies to Gearboxes of Ver.1, Ver.2, Ver.3, Ver.4, Ver.6 type.
E.g. M4 / AK AEG / G36 / Minimi, and so on.
*M14 / 89 type /Tokyo Marui next-generation AEG are unavailable.
Regarding durability and gear accuracy
This material is made of steel, therefore, it has a low probability of occurrence of gear crashes and is highly durable.
What is a gear for AEG?
It is one of the parts in the Gearbox. This is a part to convert the energy transmitted from the motor into the energy to pull the piston.
It is a very important part and the probability of a crash is higher than in other parts.
If the accuracy of the gear itself is poor, the gear noise may be loud, or it may lead to the Bushing and the Gearbox, not to mention damage to gear itself.
Gear type
This gear set includes three types of gears.
Bevel gear
It contacts the motor pinion and transmits the drive to the spur gear.
It has a built-in latch that has a anti rotation prevention latch of the gear.
Spur gear
It transmits drive from bevel gear to sector gear in the middle gear.
Sector gear
It transmits drive from spur gear to piston. Furthermore, it pulls the tappet plate to move the nozzle backwards or moves the cut-off lever to control the semi-automatic movement.
Typical gear ratio types
18:1 Normal torque gear(spur teeth)
It is the standard torque and cycle gear often used for general AEGs. This gear is used for a wide range of settings.
16:1 High-speed gear(spur teeth)
This gear has a faster cycle and lower torque than 18:1.
You can also use it for high-cycle custom when using high power battery such as Lipo 11.1v or when you want to increase cycle a little bit from the standard.
13:1 Super high speed gear(spur teeth)
This gear has a faster cycle and lower torque than 16:1.
It is a gear used for high cycle custom and it is often used with sector cut for many high cycles.
32:1 High torque gear(spur teeth)
This torque gear is bigger than 18:1 and the cycle is delayed.
This gear is useful when you want more torque and also available when you lose the power of the cycle.
Normal piston can not be used as a feature due to the shape of sector gear. Please use a single-tooth type piston in which the width of the piston teeth is half.
100:200 Torque type gear(helical)
This torque gear is bigger than 18:1 and the cycle is delayed.
This is the gear teeth are helical instead of spur teeth.
How to use this gear is similar to 32:1 when you want to increase torque and cycle down what is more, with 32:1 you can use a normal piston that can no be used.
Helical gears generate unique sounds.
100:300 Super high-torque gear(helical)
This torque gear is bigger than 100:200 and the cycle is delayed.
This is the gear teeth are helical instead of spur teeth.
How to use this gear is similar to 32:1 when you want to increase torque and cycle down, what is more, with 32:1 you can use a normal piston that can no be used.
