ELEMENT SPRING M95 ST/SL
This is a mainspring for AEG.
It is unable to use for the Tokyo Marui’s within other Ver2 and Ver3 AEGs.
ELEMENT’s springs have uneven pitches. The uneven pitch feature reduces the pulling load.
The feature of M95 is light compression and not too strong tension.
Purpose of spring replacement
Many of the purposes for replacing the mainspring are ballistic adjustments.
There are various replace reasons, e.g. Slowing down due to ageing, increase the Muzzle Velocity of the new products, decrease the Muzzle Velocity of the new products and so on.
In addition to spring replacement with High cycle and High power setting custom, it is effective to replace it as a measure of spring noise due to spring resonance.
About spring rate
The indication of spring strength, e.g. M95, is not a unified specification and each manufacturer has different strengths.
Please consider as a reference value only.
Spring direction
There is a direction for incorporating uneven pitches springs.
Please set it that the narrower one is the spring guide side and the wider one is the piston side.
About Muzzle Velocity adjustment
Muzzle Velocity is related to the length and inner diameter of the inner barrel, and the amount of air in the cylinder.
For example, if you want to reduce the Muzzle Velocity, it is common to shorten the inner barrel or use a wide bore barrel with a large inner diameter.
Moreover, the Muzzle Velocity can be lowered by replacing the bore-up cylinder or replacing with a full cylinder in the case of a cylinder with an acceleration port.
Many additional points are affecting the Muzzle Velocity.
Burden on the Gearbox and parts
For a variety of reasons, the load on internal parts of the Gearbox increases when a strong spring is incorporated.
We recommend the incorporation of reinforced parts with improved strength to prevent premature failure, e.g. pistons, gears, bushings and so on.
