VFC M40A3 BOLT ACTION SNIPER RIFLE
M40 is a sniper rifle that was improved and developed based on the Remington M700 used by the US Marine Corps.
M40 USMC Vietnam Era Rifle was published in Remington's 2007 catalog, but this is different from M40 using Marine Corps. Since it is a popular model for military maniacs around the world, many replicas are produced by external constructors and custom builders.
The Army M24 series is produced by Remington, which has been used by the Ground Self-Defense Force.
The initial type is Remington M700 (40X) receiver with an additional clip slot for loading ammunition, combined with a birming barrel (Remington 10-1 twist), and sporter type wooden stock, Redfield 3-9 magnification scope.
Later, in the late 1970s, the Marine Corps was refurbished with Atkinson's stainless steel barrel (12-1 twist), Macmillan resin stock, M70 steel trigger guard and magazine cover, and became the M40A1.
The Redfield 3X9 scope was originally used as an A1 model, butlater changed to the Unatel 10X scope in the 1980s. Even today, the combination of M700 action and M70 type trigger guard continues. Minor changes are now underway, making them into M40A2, M40A3, and M40A5.
In addition, there is a model called “M40E1” which is similar to XM2010 equipped with MSR type stock developed by Remington. This is also used by the US Marine Corps MARSOC.
