Bear Paw OTs-03 SVU Bullpup GBB (Standard Ver.)

Taiwan Bear Paw Production upgrades SVU, a bullpup model based on the SVD sniper rifle, with GBB. SVU is a sniper rifle that has been developed for Spetsnaz (special mission unit) belonging to the Russian Ministry of Interior, which performs special missions such as crackdown of armed groups, suppression of demonstrations and riots, and that combines high mobility and high precision.

This product adopts lightweight and rigid aluminum as a standard version for main parts such as receivers. With the reproducibility of detail that is mistaken for a real rifle, it can be finished in a more realistic sniper rifle when used in conjunction with the PSO-1 scope.

The GBB engine is based on WE, which is characterized by violent recoil and sharp sound, and it can operate smoothly even with HFC134a Freon gas widely distributed in Japan. The inner barrel is extended to the inside of the muzzle brake built-in suppressor, so you can expect stable shooting with dynamic bolt carrier movement.

【OTs-03/SVU】
The SVU is a sniper rifle that was developed at the request of the former Soviet Army Spetsnaz (Special Task Force) performing special missions and does not sacrifice mobility when boarding special operations vehicles or helicopters. Inspired by the British-made EM-2 assault rifle of the bullpup method, which was an innovative design at that time, it was designed as model OC-03 based on SVD. At the design stage, the SVD's short barrel did not provide the intended results for shooting, so development was once suspended, but in 1991, the Russian Ministry of Interior requested a sniper rifle with a silencer and flash hider, and with high accuracy and secrecy. As a result of several tests until 1993, it was adopted as OTs-03.

In 1995, a variation with a burst function was requested by the Russian Ministry of Interior, and a fully automatic function-equipped model SVU-A (OTs-03A) that can only be used in an emergency was developed. The barrel has been shortened by 100mm, improving balance and handling, and the sound suppressor has a muzzle brake and is designed to increase control during full auto shooting.
Other variations include derivative models such as SVU-AS (OTs-03AS) equipped with bipods.
