about HK416C

“C” is an abbreviation for “sub-Compact”, a short carbine model that was released in 2009 and shortened to 9 inch.
The hand guard is a short type that supports 9 inch barrels, the stock is a wire expansion stock similar to H & K MP5A1 / A3 called “Troy type”, and the flash hider has been changed from a birdcage type to a cracked type.
Originally planned for public institutions under the name “HK416 PDW” or “HK416K”, it was developed in earnest at the request of the US Army Special Forces and the British Special Forces Headquarters (UKSF). There was a problem with the durability of the wire stock and it was not adopted.

Features of HK416

HK416 (HKM4) has a certain operation reliability and durability, such as a change from direct impingement type (Ljungman type) to short stroke piston type, standard equipment of Picatinny rail system, and steel magazine instead of aluminum. We plan to improve.
In particular, since the gas piston with a short stroke pushes the bolt back through the rod, no high-temperature and dirty fired gas enters the engine, improving maintainability and dust resistance.
The barrel has a long life by adopting cold forging technology, and even if it fires more than 20,000 shots, the initial velocity of the muzzle does not decline, and it is said that the accuracy of hitting can be maintained.
In addition, due to its ruggedness, the tests show that it can operate normally even after being immersed in muddy water.

about NPAS

NPAS is a part to be installed in the bolt carrier that can change the flow rate to distribute the gas rising from the magazine to the initial speed side and recoil side.
In general, it is a type that swings to the recoil side, so that the recoil amount of blowback can be adjusted.
Please be assured that there is no extreme initial speed UP even if you swing to the initial speed side.
