The APC9 SD Compact gas blowback submachine gun is officially licensed by B&T AG and manufactured by ARCHWICK. It is available in liquid-charged gas version.
The finely molded aluminum upper, reinforced polymer lower, steel internal parts, and rattle-free folding stock are worthy of being called the work of the best. The engraving is based on B&T USA, and the model name, place of production, and ammunition have all been thoroughly eliminated from the airsoft designations.
The SD Compact has a slightly different upper shape than the standard APC9, with an interchangeable handguard and an over-barrel suppressor.
The end of the outer barrel has a 12mm female reverse thread, which can be replaced with a 14mm reverse thread hider or suppressor by replacing it with the included hider attachment. The outer barrel itself is short, extending to the tip of the upper receiver top rail, allowing the use of a suppressor inserted into the handguard without the need for a factory suppressor.
As with the SIG MPX, the handguard can be detached by removing three screws. Please remove the 3 Torx screws in front of the pivot pin.
When more series are released in the future, or when longer handguards are released as aftermarket parts, they will be easily replaceable. The modular performance has been thoroughly reproduced and is a high quality product that shows a solid design.
The bolt carrier is made of aluminum to ensure blowback behavior, but the main internal parts that are subject to load, such as the hammer, sear, and trigger, are made of steel for reliable operation and high durability.
The nozzle has a large stroke and is designed to prioritize operability, although the initial velocity is suppressed with HFC134a.
The hop chamber allows external hop adjustment, which can be done without takedown or hold-open with a 1.5mm Allen key in front of the pivot pin.
Although everything is designed exclusively for the AR15, the APC is likely to be a model that will make a great leap forward as a category in the future, taking into consideration the future development of the series. Only the grip is common to all AR15s, and can be replaced with the M4 grip of your choice.
